presents 2009 Excellence in Teaching Award
CCC Carpentry Instructor, Claman Parker, is the 2009 Cleveland Community College Foundation Outstanding Faculty Award winner. Parker is originally from Casar and has been an instructor at CCC for 19 years. Parker says he is surprised and honored by the award and adds, “I really enjoy interacting with the students and giving them a sense of accomplishment with a finished project. I’ve always tried to put my heart into my work. This award is really neat.” Along with carpentry instruction, Parker is also a licensed and general contractor building homes in Cleveland and surrounding counties.
