To qualify for in-state tuition, you must be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes as defined by state law. Students are responsible for providing the college with all information necessary to determine residency status. You may be required to complete the Residence & Tuition Application Form to provide additional information. A student activity fee of $19.00 per semester will be assessed to students who register for seven or more credit hours. Students taking six or fewer credit hours will be assessed a student activity fee of $10.00 per semester. No activity fee is charged during the Summer Term. The student activity fee is non-refundable.
Student accident insurance is available through the Business Office.
The cost of books, supplies, and equipment varies from one curriculum program to another. Generally, such costs will range from $40 to $650 per semester. Students in health programs taking clinical work will have additional costs for textbooks, uniforms, and liability insurance. Also, cosmetology students will have additional costs for textbooks, uniforms and kits.
Tuition exemption for senior citizens – North Carolina senior citizens that are age 65 or older are not charged tuition (proof of age is required). Senior citizens are required to pay other fees.
High school Huskins and Dual Enrollment students pay no tuition or activity fee.
