About the Library
The Jim and Patsy Rose Library is located on the first floor of the Jack Hunt Campus Center at Cleveland Community College. It is a multimedia facility, featuring books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and more than fifty computers for student use.
Operating Hours
As a rule, the library is open when the college is open. In fact, the library is often open even while classes are not in session; our hours during semester breaks and holidays are posted on the library doors and the website before the holiday begins.

Purpose and Goals
The purpose of the Jim and Patsy Rose Library is to help fulfill the mission of the College by providing carefully selected resources and versatile programs and services which enforce and enrich the curriculum and which are responsive to the needs of the College community.
To fulfill this purpose the Library continually works to:
- Build, with the collaboration of the faculty, a collection of resources appropriate to the curriculum and to the current and future needs of the College community with an emphasis on the quality of resources.
- Utilize current technologies to provide a system of organization and physical access to the collection of the library and to sources beyond the collection, with a focus on the convenience of access to learning and information resources for both library users and library staff.
- Design and deliver instruction and consultation of the organization, content, and use of learning resources that includes instruction that is user-based, on demand, customizable, and remotely accessible.
- Provide a functional, accessible, attractive, user-centered physical facility to support and increase the use of learning and information resources.
- Maximize the College's participation in programs designed to share learning resources and lower costs; and continually evaluate cooperatives based on speed, accuracy, and economy.
- Provide Library staff with training opportunities to improve information, communication, and technical skills, and recruit new staff members with skills to address identified needs of the Library.
