Electronic Books
Electronic Books, or “e-Books,” are digital versions of books intended to be read on a computer screen or a dedicated device. The Jim and Patsy Rose Library offers thousands of e-Books by subscription, and many are also available for free.
- Bartleby.com: Great Books Online features reference materials, verse, fiction, and non-fiction—including the complete Harvard Classics.
- The Chadwyck-Healey Individual Literature Collections contain archives of full-text poetry, including African American Poetry (1750-1998), American Poetry (1600-2000), English Poetry (600-1900), and the Faber Poetry Library (20th Century).
- The Gale Virtual Reference Library is a searchable collection of online reference books.
- The National Academies Press includes books in the fields of science, engineering, and health.
- NetLibrary contains over 47,000 fiction and non-fiction full-text eBooks.

- The Oxford Premium Reference Collection is an index to dictionaries, language references, and subject references from Oxford University Press. Available only on campus.
- Project Gutenberg is an ongoing effort to provide electronic access to books that are in the public domain.
- R2Library features health science books from leading publishers. You must set up an account on campus in order to use these full-text books from your home computer.
